Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose colors were available for the vanilla model and Pro model in the Pixel 8 series when Google debuted it in October 2023. Google announced a new color option for the series soon.
A binary sequence teasing the arrival of a new drop from a ‘Fresh year’ was featured in the announcement made on the company’s official Twitter account. Users can view a teaser video featuring the phrase ‘itsaliving’ in Mint Green on the Google Store through the accompanying link, which gives them a glimpse of the upcoming color option.
Google and @itsaliving will be painting a mural in downtown NYC on January 25, 2024, on the same day as the color reveal.
Two smartphones are currently present in the Pixel 8 series, which was introduced in October 2023, with a third model (Pixel 8a) anticipated to arrive in 2024. The model that will get the Minty Fresh color won’t be revealed until next week.
In case you’re not familiar with the Pixel 8 series, the Pro model has a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display, a Google Tensor G3 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. There is a 50MP primary rear camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens that has a 5x optical zoom as part of the camera setup. Security features available on the device include an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock, as well as a 5050mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
In addition to the standard Pixel 8, the Pixel 8 is equipped with a 6.2-inch OLED display, 8GB RAM, and the possibility of choosing between 128GB or 256GB of storage. The camera system is designed with a primary rear camera that captures images at 50MP and an ultra-wide-angle lens that captures images at 12MP. Security features are similar between the device and its Pro counterpart, and it has a 4575mAh battery. The IP68 dust and water-resistant features of both models can be found in various color options.
