Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Camera Repair Parts Significant Price Increase

Google has introduced a new repair mode for Pixel phones that allows you to customize your phone without compromising your privacy. IFixit has revealed the costs of fixing the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro’s official repair parts, giving us a clearer picture of what it’ll cost to fix your broken phone.

The Pixel 8’s ‘Actua’ screen, which has a 120Hz refresh rate and enhanced brightness, costs $159.99, which is an increase of $20 over the Pixel 7’s screen. There has been a reduced price increase for the Pixel 8 Pro’s screen, which has increased from $212.99 to $229.99.

Replacement rear cases for the Pixel 8 are now available in all three colors: Hazel, Obsidian, and Rose. The price is $142.99, which is slightly higher than the price of the Pixel 7 case.
Both Pixel 8 and 8 Pro batteries are priced at $42.99 like their predecessors.

Cameras are where things get interesting. The Pixel 8 has experienced a significant price jump from $89.99 to $142.99 for its wide rear camera, while the ultra-wide camera costs an additional $20 at $62.99. The Pixel 8 Pro’s camera system has a higher price tag, with it costing $199.99 compared to the Pixel 7 Pro’s $152.99. Both Pixel 8 and 8 Pro’s front cameras come with a price tag of $42.99.
