Nothing Phone (2a) Bags TUV Certification Specification

Multiple leaks and rumors in the past have indicated that there appears to be an issue with a new smartphone. The Nothing Phone (2a) is widely believed to be the device. The cryptic teasers that Carl Pei, the founder of the London-based company, has been dropping have been also being dropped by him. It hasn’t confirmed its attendance at the MWC event in Barcelona next month, which could be a good opportunity to reveal its next product. The Phone (2a) has been spotted on a certification website as part of a new development.

TUV certification has been granted for the Nothing Phone (2a) with model number A142. According to the listing, it will provide a wired charging speed of 45W. It resembles the Nothing Phone (2). Additional information about the device is not revealed in the certification. TUV is not the only certification the phone has received, it has also received BIS and TDRA, hinting at its imminent launch.

A leaked prototype image indicates that the Nothing Phone (2a) will have a circular module that holds two camera sensors (which are highlighted by a 50MP primary lens) situated horizontally. To surround the camera island, Glyph LED light strips will be put in place. According to the upcoming offering, it is expected to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution as its core specifications.

A MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC is said to be the power source for the Nothing Phone (2a). According to reports, the device will be available in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage models, and in White or Black colors. It is anticipated that the base model will have a price tag below EUR 400.
