Realme 12 and 12+ Launch Spotted on the Indian certification Platform

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification platform shows that the upcoming Realme 12 and 12+ smartphones will be launched in the Indian market in the near future.

These non-pro models are expected to follow the launch of the Realme 12 Pro series on January 29, 2024.

Indian certification confirms arrival

January 24, 2024 marked the date when BIS certification for both Realme 12+ (model number RMX3867) and Realme 12 (model number RMX3868) was obtained. Despite the announcement of an official launch date, this confirms their official entry into the Indian market.

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has also granted clearance for Realme 12+. There are some intriguing features and design details revealed here.

As per the FCC documents, the Realme 12+ will be a similar size to the Realme 12 Pro, with a measurement of approximately 162.9 mm by 75.5 mm. On the back of it, there will likely be a circular camera setup, with three cameras and possibly a periscope telephoto lens.

The phone will have a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is technically 4880 mAh. It is predicted that Realme UI 5.0 will be included, probably based on Android 14.

MIIT, TDRA, NBTC, SIRIM, and SDPPI are among the other global authorities that have certified the Realme 12+, alongside BIS and FCC.

As previously stated, the launch of the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ is set for January 29, 2024. It’s logical to predict that the release of the non-pro models will follow shortly after their BIS certification and leaked specifications.
